The default skin is the face of the forum. It's the first taste of the community to new users and can make a pretty profound impact. Even if you choose not to use whatever the default ends up being, it becomes a pretty important part of the forum's identity.
This is the SMF theme site. Everybody should have a peek through and offer up some input as to what they would like to be our default skin. We're taking suggestions for secondary skins as well, but the most important thing right now is that we pick a default that most people are comfortable with.
Most things about a skin can be changed, such as navigation and reply buttons, the banner, and many other things. We'll most certainly make whatever we choose our own, but the first step is to choose something to work with. We can't really get started on a banner or ranks or much else until we get this out of the way. Our version of SMF is version 2.0, so make sure the skins you suggest are compatible.
